Emma Booth is a metadata specialist at the University of Manchester Library responsible for overseeing the activities of the Metadata for Content Management Team. Her team creates, enriches and manages metadata from multiple sources, ensuring the discoverability of print and electronic content acquired by the University of Manchester, including Open Access resources.
Through her involvement with the National Acquisitions Group (NAG) and the CILIP Metadata and Discovery Group, Emma advocates for making the supply of quality, interoperable metadata a strategic priority for all stakeholders in the information supply chain, with the goal of supporting resource-discovery and evidence-based collection management.
